onion
large (or 2 small)

sliced

Instructions
Slice up a large onion (or 2 small) and 8 oz of mushrooms (if not already sliced).
Add oil, mushrooms, and onions to pan. Set to high heat. Toss ingredients to coat in oil.
Once ingredients start sizzling, toss mushrooms and onions, then turn heat down to medium high.
Cook for 10 minutes, stirring every minute. Keep an eye on mushrooms and onions, to avoid burning them.
Now it's time to season the mushrooms and onions. Toss with spatula to coat evenly in seasonings.
Turn off heat and remove cooked mushrooms and onions from frying pan.

Notes
You can also buy mushrooms pre-sliced from the store
Use olive oil, coconut oil, butter, or omit entirely. If using a nonstick pan, oil is just to add flavor
If ingredients start to burn while cooking, lower the heat
For best results, season after the mushrooms and onions are cooked
