These Sautéed Portobello Mushrooms are a keto, low-carb dish that's bursting with flavor. Just season and cook up in a skillet for tender, tasty portobello mushrooms.

portobello mushrooms
1/2
tbsp
olive oil

salt

pepper

tsp
garlic powder
Instructions
Start by prepping the mushrooms. Wipe them clean and slice into strips.
Add mushrooms and oil of your choice to a skillet. Set heat to high. Once oil starts sizzling, toss the mushrooms and bring heat down to medium high.
Continue cooking for 5 minutes at this temperature, stirring the mushrooms every minute.
At this point, bring the temperature down to medium. Cook (stirring occasionally) for 3 more minutes.
Once mushrooms are soft and tender, it's time to add the seasonings. Sprinkle on salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Mix up the mushrooms once more and remove skillet from heat. Use spatula to turn mushrooms out onto serving plate

You can use any type of vegetable oil for cooking these portobello mushrooms
Gills will darken when cooked, don't worry- this does not mean that they are burned
Wait until the end of cooking time to add seasonings
