You'll love this recipe for Tomato Soup With Tomato Paste- it's the easiest ever! And you can keep it simple or add any seasonings you love in tomato soup. Perfect with a grilled cheese sandwich!
Add a small can of tomato paste to a pot on the stovetop.
Now use that can to measure out the stock or water for the soup. Fill up the can 4 separate times and add the liquid to the pot.
Next, you'll add any seasonings you desire. We suggest you wait until the soup has cooked to add salt, as sometimes the stock contains plenty of salt already.
We added pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Then, turn the heat to high and whisk up the soup while you wait for it to boil.
Once the soup is boiling, it's time to turn off the heat. Stir up the soup and add salt now, if desired.
Take pot off the hot burner and ladle out portions of soup. You can add extra flavor by serving each cup of soup with a splash of cream.
