Cook Turkey Necks In The Instant Pot for tender meat that falls right off the bone. The instant pot is the best way to cook delicious, flavorful turkey necks.
Start by pouring a cup of water into the instant pot. Add a trivet, if you have one. This keeps the turkey out of the cooking water and also makes it easier to remove the turkey after cooking. Otherwise, you can just place the turkey necks directly in the water.
Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder on the turkey necks. Rub in the seasonings and flip the turkey over. Repeat the process- sprinkle on seasonings and rub them in.
Add turkey necks to trivet in instant pot. Close up appliance and turn valve to sealing position.
Press the "Pressure Cook" button and heat for 50 minutes. Once it's done cooking, quick release the steam. When the pin drops, it's time to open up the instant pot.
Use tongs to remove turkey necks and place them on a serving plate.
If you'd like to make gravy to go alongside, hit "Cancel" on the instant pot and choose the "Sauté" function.
Add 2 Tablespoons of cornstarch to the instant pot. Whisk to dissolve the cornstarch in the water at the bottom of the pot. Continue stirring while the mixture boils. It will take about 3 minutes for the gravy to thicken up. If you would like, you can add salt to taste.
Turn off the instant pot. Pour the gravy into a serving bowl or gravy boat. Top turkey necks with gravy and serve.
